Fourth of July Fireworks & Events in South Jersey (2022)

It's hard to believe school's out and the Fourth of July is here already! With most Covid restrictions lifted, the Fourth of July festivities are back in full swing. Check out what's going on in the South Jersey area this weekend:

Atlantic City Fourth of July Fireworks: Friday, July 1st at 9:30pm

Where: Atlantic City, NJ - North Beach

Details: "Viewing locations throughout the north end of the boardwalk including: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Ocean Casino Resort, Resorts Casino Hotel, Showboat Hotel and Steel Pier. Tennessee Avenue restaurants will have boardwalk activations throughout the evening."

Medford Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks: Friday, July 1st from 6pm - 10pm

Where: Medford, NJ - Freedom Park, Medford Township (Rain date is July 2nd)

Details: "This family event is a day-into-night celebration with pomp, shows, games and illuminations will include: Kid's Activity Zone, Music on the Main Stage, Food Court, Vendors, Fireworks Display and more!"

Woodbury July 4th Celebration: Saturday, July 2nd starting at 6pm

Where: Woodbury High School Stadium - Francis Avenue, Woodbury, NJ (Rain date is July 9th)

Details: Enjoy music, great food and food trucks and fireworks starting at dusk!

Haddon Township "Happy Birthday America " Fireworks: Sunday, July 3rd start at 7pm

Where: Haddon Township High School, 406 Memorial Ave, Westmont NJ,

Details: "Free admission; fireworks will be shot off at dark."

Camden Waterfront Freedom Festival: Monday, July 4th starting at 5pm

Where: Camden Waterfront - Camden, NJ

Details: Enjoy live music, fun and fireworks along the Camden Waterfront for the Freedom Festival!

Lower Township (North Cape May) Independence Day Celebration: Sunday, July 3rd from 5:30pm - 10pm

Where: On the Bayfront of North Cape May between Lincoln Boulevard and Emerson Ave. Lower Township, NJ

Details: "Pick a spot on the beach. We recommend a chair or towel since the sand can be chilly after sunset! There are vendors galore and carnival rides, too. It's crowded."

Avalon Fourth of July Fireworks: Monday, July 4th at 8:45pm

Where: 30th Street Beach, Avalon, NJ

Details: "The fireworks display will be launched from a barge off the 30th Street beach."

Cape May Fireworks: Monday, July 4th 

Where: Beachfront - Beach Ave., Cape May, NJ

Details: "Fireworks launch across from Congress Hall, from a barge a quarter-mile offshore. Enjoy a fantastic view of the show from the beach, promenade, or any property facing Beach Avenue. In the event of rain, fireworks may be rescheduled or canceled. If you come by car, plan to arrive early or sit in traffic for a while. Parking can be hard to find. Once the fireworks are over, it's congested along Beach Avenue and the promenade – a good opportunity to grab some ice cream or fried Oreos and wait out the crowds!"

Evesham July 4th Celebration: Monday, July 4th from 8:30am - 10pm

Where: Savich fields, 525 East Main Street, Evesham, NJ

Details: "For residents only This event features live music, ice cream vendors, and a fireworks display @ dusk. To ensure that as many Evesham residents as possible are able to enjoy the fireworks display, parking passes will be made available to Township residents only. Just one parking pass will be required per vehicle."

Washington Township Fireworks: Monday, July 4th 

Where: Washington Township High School, 529 Hurfville - Cross Keys Road, Sewell, NJ

Details: "This year's spectacular fireworks show which will be shot from the Washington Township High School Complex (seating will NOT be available in the WTHS Football Stadium). The fireworks will begin at approximately 9 pm."

Ocean City July 4th Fireworks Celebration: Monday, July 4th from 7pm - 9:30pm

Where: Music Pier - Ocean City, NJ

Details: "Kite flying competition at 7 p.m. followed by entertainment on the beach next to the Music Pier. Fireworks will be launched from a barge in the ocean near the Music Pier at 9 p.m. and will be best viewed from the beach and boardwalk between Fifth Street and 14th Street."
